Since Richard Florida published "The Rise of the Creative Class" in 2002, the concept of the creative class has gained immense popularity within the social sciences and has inspired a vast body of research. Over the past two decades, research on the creative class has developed rapidly. In the era of the knowledge economy, the creative class has become the leading cohort of this age, sparking research and exploration from various sectors of society. This paper reviews the basic concepts of the creative class, relevant theoretical foundations, and the current academic research on the creative class. It also proposes considerations for future research directions on the creative class, thereby enriching the literature on creative class studies and providing references for another scholars' research.
