Abstract

Rapid technological advancement fueled substantial economic growth in the West yet simultaneously strained the relationship between humanity and nature. The recurrent emergence of ecological crises has compelled humanity to confront environmental issues. Against this backdrop, a new form of civilization is urgently needed to reshape human thought, production, and lifestyles. It is therefore essential to reflect on the dialectical relationship between industrial and ecological civilizations, learn from historical experience, and make scientifically informed projections for the future-so as to forge a path toward harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature, and sustainable development.
